This season has really come quickly for me. So busy with family, work, my business and life itself that I was truly unprepared this year. This is also the first year that my daughter is away for Christmas so its quite an adjustment for my son and I. She's in Virginia with my sister so at least she is not totally alone. It wasn't until last night when I finally had a chance to sit and absorb everything, that the spirit of Christmas finally hit me. I am truly thankful that although we are spread apart, we still have our memories of past holidays in our hearts to make us smile. Even if I didn't have time to get all I needed or do my normal traditions, I am still thankful to see another holiday!
I say all that to say, enjoy your family and dear friends all year long and when this day comes, you will treasure them even more.

I am relaunching the Candy Coated Bags shopping website, premiering Saturday Sept. 1st!!!! It's been so much fun and so therapeutic selecting handbags and clutches for.the site. I've been reading articles on networking, finding like minded individuals, support groups and mentors when you're an entrepreneur. Well, I've met some amazing talented and resourceful individuals via social networks that I have called upon countless times. But its also wise to go to events and meet people face to face, that person you may have crossed several times and never knew who they were. What I am learning is that networking is NOT about getting a new client or making a sale, its making deep connections to nurture and grow. What do you have to offer someone to help them achieve their goals? What does that person have to offer you? It may not be the sale or new client that your looking for but it could be the amazing words of wisdom they offer. It could be the support they offer.
The next time you are at a networking event, learn from the people you talk to and share your experiences. You'll find in the long run you've gained much more than a sale or new client.

Although I am revamping Candy Coated Bags, in the process I feel myself growing. It's a liberating and frightful feeling all at the same time. I was comfortable in my little circle of familiarity, but I wasn't content. While setting goals for CCB, I decided to set some personal goals as well. One of which was to stop letting my fear inhibit me from opportunities that I may come across. Yesterday evening, I stepped out of my comfort zone by attending an amazing event, by myself (shocked myself lol). In the past that would have never happened, fear would have told me "you can't go by yourself, you don't have the guts". Not this time, there is a greater calling that I am adhering to now, I must go where He is taking me, alone or not. I did meet some amazing new people that I otherwise would have never known existed. I'm proud of me!!
This is totally random but I read my horoscope for today and smiled thinking, yup, I'm on the right track, embracing the changes and loving where my spirit is taking me!

It's no secret that I have become obsessed with clutches lately, especially vintage. I'm noticing more and more that the bag once only used for formals or evening events are being carried as an everyday fashion accessory. Now how do you fit all of your necessities in a clutch you ask? It is not easy but being able to master this art has become a badge of honor. My suggestion would be to put your bare necessities in your clutch of choice. Buy miniatures of your favorite handbag necessities if available. Rocking a clutch with your daytime attire, signals you're a smart and efficient packer and your look required minimal effort. Go ahead, try it!

So I was reading horoscopes using the Daily Horoscopes app, and came across this one under Scorpio. I'm not a Scorpio but I take all tips that apply. I figured I'd share this one as it could relate to anyone at some point in time:
